What to bring: We provide bags and gloves, so all you need are some clothes and shoes you're comfortable cleaning in, a water bottle to stay hydrated (no single-use plastic please) and some sunscreen because while weโre protecting the planet we gotta protect ourselves too! ๐๐๐ฟ

Have you wondered how you can make your life more sustainable and resilient? Do you want to respond positively to major world issues? Do you want to meet people who care about the earth like you do?Then this Online Living Smart course is for you!
Living Smart is a 7-week course that will inspire you to make sustainable changes in your own home with your family, and in your wider community. The course is designed with the needs of participants in mind and includes topic such as Waste, Living Simply, Power, Water, Gardening . . . and more. The actual course content will be determined by the participants so you will get the opportunity to explore what you are interested in. The course is very interactive (even online) - you will be learning from your fellow participants as well as the facilitator.

PLEASE NOTE This is a seven week online course (using zoom) that will run on a Monday night from 5.00 until 7.00pm (Perth time) the course starts on September 14th and runs until October 26th. The course is open to anyone, anywhere.
If you have not used zoom before will send out an email with instructions so you are ready to go for the first class - it's easy!

During this session you will learn the magic compost song, find out what ingredients to use in your batch and in what ratios. You will see a real compost in action and find out what to do day by day to get your compost really cranking.
Add those ingredients, work your magic and you could have rich ready compost in six weeks!
You will also have the opportunity to see a hot composting system and even some humanure composting!
This workshop will be held at Ecoburbia
The $5 registration fee enrolls you in this course. After we have finished you will be asked to pay in keeping with your circumstances from $20 - $50.

Get ready; our NOR Marine Debris team will be back in action this September.
For this event, we will be taking part in the #BreakFreeFromPlastic global brand audit, a citizen science initiative that involves counting and documenting the brands found on plastic waste collected at a clean-up to help identify the companies responsible for plastic pollution.
Event Details:
* Limit of 100 people due to government restrictions
* Date: Sunday 20th September 2020
* Location: Hillarys Marina Lake Park, Northside Dr, Hillarys.

* BYO gloves (compulsory to BYO and wear gloves during COVID)
