Wildlife Health in WA; hosted by the Harry Butler Institute

Join fellow wildlife health collaborators and the Harry Butler Institute at Murdoch, to learn more about who to contact when you see something unusual in wildlife, which emerging infectious diseases are of interest in the Perth region, as well as biosecurity tips for managing infectious disease during fieldwork or rehabilitation.
What will be discussed?
Murdoch and DBCA speakers will provide short presentations of 15 minutes covering the basics of various health events in WA wildlife, primarily focusing on what has happened, who to contact, and what you could do within your specific role with wildlife to assist the issue. There will be opportunity for questions to the speakers in the format of a panel session at the end of each set of presentations.
Who should attend?
Anyone with an interest in wildlife health, in particular those working in the field with wildlife (e.g. researchers, council rangers, conservation NGOs), those working in wildlife rehabilitation or care (e.g. veterinarians, rehabilitation volunteers and staff), and those working in government with wildlife.
What will be provided?
Morning tea and a light lunch will be provided.
