WA Plastic Ban – Is Your Business Ready?
April 4, 2022 –
This exhibition will showcase proven initiatives to inspire businesses to transition to cost-effective & eco-friendly takeaway alternatives.
A state-wide phase out of certain single-use plastic or disposable items came into effect in December 2021. In response, the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC) in collaboration with 5 member Councils – Town of Bassendean, Cities of Bayswater, Kalamunda and Swan and the Shire of Mundaring - are hosting an exhibition to inspire food service businesses across Perth to transition to cost effective eco-friendly replacements.
Local case studies with innovative yet simple to replicate initiatives have been selected to share their experience and knowledge. In addition, the following service providers will be available to answer all your questions about reusable networks, organics collection and how to implement sustainable food/waste practices:
- Donut Waste
- Go2Cup
- Our Kinds
- Renome
- Responsible Cafes
- WA Plastic Free
