Join Ciara Lowe-Thiedeman to learn how to dress more sustainably, shop mindfully and tackle common pre-loved shopping stigma. Learn to repair, rewear and repurpose clothing, and discover the key to becoming sustainably stylish: understanding your personal style. You’ll also get some great tips and tricks to help you do good, look good and feel good.
As the second largest polluter in the world, the fashion industry has a disastrous environmental impact. But it’s not all bad. By 2028 pre-loved clothing sales are expected to outrank traditional retail sales.
Ciara Lowe-Thiedeman is a London qualified, award-winning stylist with a passion for teaching people to do good and feel good while looking good. In her image consulting business, The Style Counsellor, she teaches clients to use personal style as a means to know and show who they are, sustainably.
Clothes Swap (12 - 1pm)
Bring along the items you don’t wear anymore (lurkers) and swap them for preloved, new to you items (workers) which will refresh your wardrobe. The clothes swap will be a practical application of all you just learnt in the presentation. More details on what you can bring and how the swap will work will be provided upon registration.
