Thinking Green: DIY Personal Products (Beechboro)
May 20, 2021 –
Want to make your own natural, simple and cheap deodorant and toothpaste to take home?
Modern deodorants contain antiperspirant chemicals like aluminium to reduce the amount of sweat released by temporarily plugging the skin pores that lead to the sweat glands. Learn how to make a simple and very cheap deodorant that works on absorbing sweat and reducing smell, without the chemicals.
Research shows that fluoride helps re-mineralise teeth but there is some concern that fluoride can also be toxic over a period of time. Learn to make a simple toothpaste that replaces fluoride with CHOCOLATE. Believe it or not!
Presented by Robyn Brown from Waste is My Resource, on behalf of Switch your thinking. Participants will also receive a small gift or go into the draw to win a door prize.
Please note that this is a program for adults and young people aged 14+.
Free workshop. Please book in as spaces are limited. For all inquiries contact Beechboro Public Library on (08) 9207 8585.
