The Neighbourhood Play Project – Transition Town Vincent Movie Night
September 14, 2020 –
Welcome back to the movies at the Paddo! Come down and join us for the Neighbourhood Play Project.
We're delighted to be joined by Griffin Longley CEO of Nature Play WA who will speak after the screening.
It is no secret that over the past 30 years, childhood has drastically changed.
In just one generation, the average Australian childhood has shifted from a largely outdoors, independent, community-orientated play; to a mostly indoors, technologically immersed, highly structured, and risk-averse play space.
Watch as the movie makers go on a mission to try to activate their neighbourhoods as places for children to play. But is it possible in this modern world?
