Snottygobbles, quandongs and woody pears: Discovering the world of native plants and how to propagate them
About this Event
In this hands-on workshop children will learn all about the amazing seeds that help our native Australian plants survive bushfires, floods and even the occasional hungry dinosaur. How do we get bull banksias, pin cushion hakeas and woody pears to give up their seeds? How do we use fire, boiling water, sandpaper, smoke, worms (or emus if you have one handy) and even a hammer to get them to grow? And how can we grow native plants from cuttings?
Participants will get to pot up seeds and cuttings to take home in this entertaining, hands-on workshop
