Saving with Scraps
September 10, 2022 –
Did you know that the average Australian household throws away an average of $2,000 worth of food per year, costing the Australian economy approximately 36.6 billion dollars a year?
Come along to a 2-part workshop to learn how to save money, reuse food scraps and reduce your food waste at home. The beginning of the session will be led by Peg Davies (Lessen with Peg) who will teach you how to shop and store your food smarter. Followed by Araluen Hagan (14 K Brewery) who will be running a cooking lesson, using food scraps you would generally landfill or compost. Afternoon tea will be provided.
Format:
Peg Davies from Lessen with Peg "Learn how to save money and reduce food waste"
Araluen Hagan from 14 K Brewery "A cooking class to help you look at your food waste in a whole new way"
All participants who attend the event and fill out the pre-workshop survey will go into the draw to win:
• A Wasteless Pantry voucher
