The celebrations start early for those staying on Rottnest Island the night before the Quokka Birthday Party.

Head to North Thomson beach shelter to join in a 45-minute Quokka Spotting tour at dusk. Bring your torch and keep your eyes peeled for our cheeky friends.

After the tour settle in on the sand at North Thomson. Toast marshmallows over the bonfire or pop into one of the Settlement cafés or restaurants for a takeaway meal.

The events are free to attend, however you will need to register for the Quokka Spotting tour. There are two tours to choose from, departing at 5:45pm or 6:45pm.

If you wish to only attend the bonfire, simply head to the beach at North Thomson from 5:30pm.
