Quokka Birthday: Quokka Questions with Rottnest Rangers
September 4, 2021 –
Did you know that the name ‘Quokka’ comes from the name given to the animal by the Aboriginal people living in the Augusta and King George Sound area of the south-west of Western Australia?
Or that Quokkas generally spend most of the day sleeping and resting under shady bushes?
Find this out and more as you learn about the curious behaviour and habits of the Quokkas and the other incredible Island wildlife from one of our Rottnest Rangers.
So grab a coffee, sit down and enjoy an exclusive chat about all things Rottnest wildlife with those who know it best.
There are two talks being held on Saturday 4 and Sunday 12 September, from 10am to 10:45am (including 15 min Q&A) at Frankie’s on Rotto.
The events are free; however, you will need to register to attend.
Ferry tickets to Rottnest Island not included. Plan your journey and purchase your ferry tickets here.
Quokka Questions is just one of the many events happening at Rottnest Island this September in honour of the Quokka Birthday.
