Pathways to Citizen Science
August 20, 2022 –
A free event to learn more about current citizen science projects in WA, and the various pathways to become involved in local initiatives.
The upcoming ACSA-WA Citizen Science Forum entitled ‘Pathways to Citizen Science’ will present a range of citizen science practitioners across WA describing their fascinating projects.
The aim is to promote ways to engage in current citizen science projects and to discuss successful engagement strategies and project outcomes.
We have a great line-up of outstanding citizen science practitioners and educators with presentations ranging from Astronomy to Molluscs, Birds and more.
In particular, we are interested in presenting pathways to secondary and tertiary educational opportunities. Each talk will be around 15 minutes in length with a 5-minute discussion. We plan to finish with an open discussion session.
There will be a 30-minute break between the two sessions to allow time for refreshment and discussion with speakers and ACSA-WA committee members.
