Join green thumb Deidre Watts of De Petite Jardin for this hands-on and informative indoor plant workshop.
If you love the idea of having greenery in your home, but have had a few expensive and failed attempts, then this workshop is for you.
Deidre will take you on a journey of plant discovery, sharing more than 35 years of knowledge and experience plus the tried and tested tips from her mother!
The workshop is designed to provide beginners, and those with limited knowledge, with everything they need to know to start and maintain an indoor or patio garden.
Covering the basics of indoor plant care including water, sunlight, feeding, pests, preparation and soil, as well as learning about common errors and the best varieties to begin your plant journey. Deidre will also share her tips on how to hunt down plants cheaply.
In the interactive workshop you’ll learn how to repot and propagate plants. You'll also get to take home a variety of cuttings home with you. Learning how to propagate is a highly useful tool for gardeners to build their plant collection on a budget. With the water propagation method, you can enjoy your plants as they grow.
As part of the session, Deidre welcomes participants to bring in their plants and photos to help troubleshoot any existing plant problems.
