July 20, 2022 –
This Plastic Free July, join CCWA for our next Environment Matters forum!
We’ll be exploring what a sustainable waste management system looks like for WA and learning more about inspiring community-led waste initiatives contributing to climate action.
We’ll be starting the event with a tour of North Fremantle Social Farm led by resident farmer Amy Warne - a local example of a community initiative using organic and regenerative farming principles to grow food.
We’ll then be hearing from four leading waste experts about the creative and interesting examples of community-led initiatives that have begun to fill the gaps in local government policies and contribute to climate action at the same time.
This is a free event and light refreshments will be provided.
This is a COVID-Safe event following the latest health advice.
We respectfully acknowledge that we will be meeting on unceded Whadjuk Noongar country, and pay our deepest respects to traditional custodians and their Elders past and present.
