Environment Matters – Next steps for nature conservation in WA
June 30, 2022 –
WA is home to unique plants and animals found nowhere else in the world. But every year the number of endangered species grows, and the available habitat for wildlife shrinks. In many places the expanding exploitation of natural resources and shifts in climate pose unprecedented threats to our ecosystems.
Join CCWA for our next Environment Matters event as we give an overview of the current state of conservation in WA and hear from our line-up of guest speakers on the all-important question – where to from here?
We need bold, urgent and decisive action, with new ways of thinking and working together to tackle these environmental challenges and protect our precious wildlife and biodiversity in a rapidly changing environment.
This is a free event and light refreshments will be provided.
Can't attend in person? We can send you a copy of the recording - just send an email to conswa@ccwa.org.au to be added to the distribution list.
We respectfully acknowledge that we will be meeting on unceded Whadjuk Noongar country, and pay our deepest respects to traditional custodians and their Elders past and present. We wish to acknowledge the enduring culture and connection of First Nations people in WA, who have been caring for country since time immemorial.
