At COP26, countries are being asked to agree to a net zero emissions by 2050 target and provide ambitious emissions reduction targets for 2030. Leading into COP26, the Australian Commonwealth Government has not yet committed to reach net zero emissions by 2050 with the Coalition Government currently divided on the issue.
