Be prepared to be fascinated as we explore by torchlight the critters of the dark. Get dressed in your spooky costumes, grab a torch, and come along for a very special opportunity to see some of the nocturnal animals of Herdsman Lake - including frogs, spiders, nocturnal birds and more - at their most active, after dark!
This fun family event will include a sausage sizzle and drink, face-painting, shadow puppets, craft activities, a talk by Arachnologist Dr Mark Harvey from the Western Australian Museum, and a guided nature night stalk around the Herdsman Lake boardwalk. Feel free to dress up for this alternative to Halloween. No tricking, but a real treat as you learn about the creatures of the night.
Tickets are $16 per person or $50 per family, which includes the sausage sizzle and drink, informative talk and guided walk. Friends of the WA Gould League receive 20% off this event.
Please bring warm clothing, insect repellent, torch & closed shoes /gumboots.
