Creating a Haven for Native Bees
September 15, 2020 –
Kit Prendergast, aka the Bee Babette, will be sharing her expertise on native bees and how to conserve them, and guiding a workshop on how to create bee hotels.
Kit has spent over four years researching native bees, and has just submitted her PhD thesis on conserving native bees in the ‘burbs. She is the author of the popular book Creating a Haven for Native Bees.
There are an incredible diversity of native bees in this region, and their requirements and needs are very different to that of the introduced European honeybee. In this workshop you’ll learn how you can help bring the bees to your yard and protect them.
Free workshop.
