Community Planting Day: NAIDOC Week and National Tree Day

Join us for a free community planting day on the Bidi Katitjiny Aboriginal Women's Trail to celebrate NAIDOC week and National Tree Day.
Piney Lakes Reserve is located in Winthrop in the heart of the City of Melville, and is a site of significance for local Aboriginal women. The Bidi Katitjiny Aboriginal Women's Trail recognises the cultural significance of the site and supports exploration of the Noongar Six Seasons and the sustainable way of life practiced by traditional Noongar people.
The event will start at 10am with a Welcome to Country, an introduction to the site and a planting demonstration. Food will be provided.
This event is suitable for all ages.
Please bring:
Your own gloves (if you have them)
A water bottle
Hat, raincoat (or other weather appropriate clothing)
