October 13, 2020 –
City of Bayswater Residents attend this free composting workshop for beginners and choose a free compost bin, worm farm or Bokashi Bin for your household. Be part of reducing waste to landfill in our community.
Please read the following information before booking your place.
This workshop is ONLY for City of Bayswater residents who have not previously participated in the home composting program.
There is a limit of one composting system per household. Please do not book into multiple sessions.
In order to receive your composting system, you must attend the workshop.
Due to venue size only two people can attend from your household and registration is essential.
Following the workshop, you will be asked to track your household food waste diverted from landfill over 8 weeks and participate in two short online surveys. This will help us to find out how much waste is diverted from landfill and assist us to improve the program.
If you can no longer attend please cancel your ticket or email email@example.com as there is a waitlist for this program.
This waste reduction program is being delivered in collaboration with Bayswater’s Enviro House who will provide the workshop and follow up support in using your composting system. The topics covered at the workshop include:
Skills and knowledge to set up your own composting system at home.
How to convert your kitchen scraps and garden clippings into a useful soil amendment product (compost)
Other sustainable strategies to reduce waste to landfill
