Discover Western Australia's unusual and fascinating carnivorous plants with botanist Laura Skates!
Western Australia is home to about a third of the world's carnivorous plant species, including sundews, bladderworts and the Albany pitcher! These plants use their extraordinary trapping leaves to capture, digest, and absorb nutrients from prey.
Come and join local botanist Laura Skates to discover the secret lives of carnivorous plants, including how their traps work, their surprising symbiotic relationships, and stories from her research in trying to understand just how carnivorous these hungry plants are.
Free workshop. Please book in as spaces are limited. For all inquiries contact Ellenbrook Community Library on (08) 9207 8787.
