Bird Photography for Kids and Teens
September 29, 2021 –
Shire of Mundaring is hosting Wildlife Wednesday nature activities at Lake Leschenaultia in the school holidays. Bird Photography for Kids and Teens is suitable for ages 12 to 16.
Join local environmental educator and professional wildlife photographer Simon Cherriman, and environmental educator Danielle Crichton, to learn the basics of ethical bird photography at the unique Lake Leschenaultia Conservation Reserve. Special guest Talitha Huston will share her passion for bird photography and insights into the creation of her book ‘Birds of the Perth Hills Region’. Learn how to photograph a live subject and engage in a range of activities to hone your photography skills.
Participants will need to bring either a digital camera or a smartphone. A hat, water bottle, closed in shoes and something to write on (e.g. clipboard and pencil) are also vital to participate in the workshop. Parents may wish to drop their children off, but are welcome to attend if desired.
This is a free event provided by the Shire of Mundaring, but places are limited so registration is essential.
