Australian Assoc of Environmental Educators virtual conference
September 30, 2020 –
Inspired by moving local examples, resilience theory, and Mandurah’s relaxed waterside lifestyle, the Australian Association of Environmental Education's WA Chapter brings you Mandjoogoordap: Changing Tides. This one day virtual conference aims to introduce some of the innovative, practical and effective tools to help us “change the tides” of environmental and sustainability education.
Delegates will be immersed in the latest thinking with sustainability professionals and educators from all sectors, including education, government, NGOs and community groups. In lieu of bringing you a full three day conference this year, the Conference Committee is excited to be able to bring you a teaser to the full conference (now planned for September 28 – October 1 in 2021) on Wednesday 30 September, 2020. Learn about the adaptive cycle from Marianne Krasny and hear insights from two citizen science programs helping with bandicoot conservation, amongst other topics. The important youth voice is also heard from through Millennium Kids and their One Thousand Actions for the Planet. Registrations and the full program are now available.
