Composting Workshop
Darius Wells Library & Resource CentreChisham Ave & Robbos WayKwinana,Organic kitchen waste and garden waste are a large percentage of what households throw into the general waste bin.
Come and learn with Peg Davies how these simple and free raw materials can be made into compost to feed the garden and help the environment.
Compost is great for recycling food waste, improving the condition of your soil, increasing water retention and fertilising plants. Good compost is full of nutrients and organic matter.
During this workshop you will learn what ingredients to use in your batch and in what ratios. You will see real compost in action and find out what to do day by day to get your compost really cranking.
After completing the workshop, buy twin compost bins and receive a $60 rebate upon proof of purchase and residence (attendance of workshop is required to be eligible for the rebate)
*The rebate only applies to City of Kwinana residents.
