Hilton Community Centre34 Paget StHilton,Freo Toy Library presents a free Garden Guru workshop for children aged 7-12. Working in groups you will be part of creating a garden structure!
A REmida classic and one of the most popular workshops, make a scarecrow for our outside garden area.
The teams will be divided into groups of four with parent helpers.

Plastic-Free Afternoon Tea
Piney Lakes Environmental Education Centre555 Leach HwyWinthrop,Plastic Free July is a reminder to us all to reflect on our role in plastic pollution and consider how we can be part of a solution. Join us for a Plastic Free Afternoon Tea to meet like-minded people, enjoy good food and learn from an inspiring guest speaker! Peg Davies will discuss living lightly and facilitate a DIY workshop making simple products from materials you can find in your kitchen cupboards.
This event is aimed at adults however children 8+ also welcome. Tickets $8
Please bring both of the following :
- At least one small jar wide enough to put your hand in and reach the bottom, and
- An old mug or cup (chipped or with no handle even better).If you have any dietary requirements please email environmental.education@melville.wa.gov.au before the 13th of July.

Join Kam Andrews, “The Nappy Guru” for a cloth nappy workshop to learn about using and maintaining cloth nappies. Kam will demonstrate different cloth nappies available and explain the benefits of each.
This event is for residents living in the Southern Metropolitan Regional Council catchment area only - City of Melville, City of Fremantle and Town of East Fremantle. The workshops cover modern cloth nappies for babies, toddlers, children and adults – people of all ages are welcome. - -

Beeswax wraps are a fun, natural, compostable and a safe alternative to plastic cling wrap.
Each participant will come away with two beeswax wraps and the skills to make plenty more.This crafty workshop is suitable for teens and adults.

The Wetlands Centre184 Hope RdBibra Lake,Western Australia is home to three species of black cockatoos, the Carnaby’s, Baudin’s and Forest Redtailed Black Cockatoo. Not long ago, these magnificent birds filled the skies. Sadly, mainly due to habitat loss, they are now under threat of extinction and desperately need our help.
These school holidays join Rex the Carnaby's Black Cockatoo and the team from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre to learn all about our endangered friends. Discover where they live, what they do all day, why they are so important to our natural environment and how you can help protect them.
This event is open to members and non-members.
Free for Cockatoo Kids Club members, $15 for non-members
