Cool It! Save energy and keep your home cool
Jim Satchell Community Centre1 Light StDianella,Tim Darby and Shani Graham from Ecoburbia will bring their "tiny house" display to demonstrate how the sun acts to heat our homes during summer. Learn about passive design principles, the suns angles and how you can 'keep the sun out' to keep your home cooler this summer. Ecoburbia, in Beaconsfield, is Tim and Shani's urban community, microfarm and a living demonstration of what a sustainable sanctuary can look like.
Tim and Shani will break down the small group into renters and home owners to problem solve issues and concerns participants have with keeping the heat out and bills down in summer. You will brain storm potential solutions with the group so that you can leave with a plan of what to try in your home.
