Western Australia Election 2021 – Energy Debate
Parmelia Hilton Hotel14 Mill StPerth,Join the Australian Institute of Energy as Energy Minister, the Hon. Bill Johnston, Dr David Honey, and the Hon. Tim Clifford go head-to-head on State energy policy issues in the lead up to the March 2021 State Election.
The speakers will outline their party's energy policies and the changes they propose to the energy landscape in Western Australia. Key issues for discussion will include electricity retail contestability, the role renewable energy sources can play in supporting our community, and support for emerging energy sectors like the battery and renewable hydrogen industries and adoption of electric vehicles.

Burswood on Swan1 Camfield Drive,Burswood,In partnership, the AWA, ECA and EIANZ will be holding the WA Inland Waters Symposium to discuss key Inland Water issues. Inland waters are water bodies inland from the coastal zone and areas whose properties and use are dominated by the permanent, seasonal, or intermittent occurrence of flooded conditions. Inland waters include groundwater (superficial and confined aquifers), and surface water such as rivers, lakes, floodplains, reservoirs, wetlands, inland saline systems and parts of waterways that have been artificially modified. Presentation covering Australian Water Quality Guidelines, eDNA, Managed Aquifers, DWER approach to InLand Water, DWER Health River Program, Monitoring Program and more

While most business owners are committed to reducing waste and having ethical supply chains, developing and implementing corporate social responsibility strategies that promote sustainability can still be a challenge. This session will help you to understand how you, your business and community can use the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals to build your policies and plans. It will also explain the circular economy, and how businesses can commit to reducing waste and reusing resources.
This topic covers:
-An overview of the circular economy;
-Business value in a circular economy and opportunities for new businesses;
-Product lifecycle and longer-life products;
-Remanufacture, recapture value on a product or component level;
-Recycle opportunities and reducing waste.This session is for people:
-With an established business;
-Who have implemented few or no corporate social responsibility strategies;
-With an interest in introducing sustainability practices into their business.Please note: this event is run by the Small Business Development Corporation for small business owners in Western Australia only.
