CommunityThe course includes a relevant and exciting outing as chosen from a list of options by the group.
Living Smart is a unique course. Rather than just developing an awareness of issues and hoping people change their behaviour, Living Smart is based on sound methods to encourage behaviour change in individuals.
These methods include in-class goal setting and regular sharing of intended and achieved actions building commitment to act and positive role modelling. The ten topics of Living Smart mean it has a wide breadth, so participants leave with a very broad understanding of what it means to be sustainable and behaviour change can readily spillover from actions from one topic to another.

In Defense of Food - Transition Town Vincent movie night
Paddington Ale House141 Scarborough Beach RdMt Hawthorn,What should you eat to be healthy?
Join best-selling author Michael Pollan on a fascinating journey to answer the question of what to eat for good health.Cutting through confusion and busting myths and misconceptions, In Defense of Food shows how common sense and old-fashioned wisdom can help us rediscover the pleasures of eating and avoid the chronic diseases so often associated with the modern diet.
Pollan examines a wide variety of diets from cultures and traditions around the globe and throughout history.
Along the way he shows how a combination of faulty nutrition science and deceptive marketing practices have encouraged us to replace real food with scientifically engineered “food-like substances.” And he explains why the solution to our dietary woes is in fact remarkably simple: Eat Food, Not Too Much, Mostly Plants.Event Details:
-The film starts at 6.30pm sharp.
-No need to print your ticket.
-Food and drink is available for purchase at The Paddo.
