CCWA's Annual Conference will celebrate the work of our member groups and opportunities for environmental action, collaboration and partnerships in WA.
We are pleased to announce that the Minister for the Environment, the Hon. Reece Whitby, will be a guest speaker at this year’s Conference. Peter Kenyon (Bank of I.D.E.A.S) is also joining us as keynote speaker. He will be putting community building at the heart of our Conference. Alongside presentations and facilitated workshops, there will be a variety of networking opportunities, as well as our annual sundowner and raffle! - -

Belinda is well known for her paintings of Australian birds and encourages participants to enjoy creating in her workshops by allowing free expression in a relaxed and supportive environment.
All materials are included in this workshop, and selected pieces of your choice go towards a final group installation artwork for the Ellenbrook Library!
Please note that this program is suitable for ages 6 -10, and is a hands-on painting workshop. Photographs and videos may be taken of the event.

Perth City Farm1 City Farm PlaceEast Perth,Fermentation is great for gut health, preserving excess garden produce and adding flavour to your diet. This workshop is hands on and will share the process of lacto-fermentation and how to do it step by step. Your Instructor Edith will cover:
Overview of the lacto fermentation process
How to ferment safely and what to watch out for
Basic equipment to acquire
Hands on making of:
Sauerkraut
Kimchi
Kombucha
Overview of other simple ferments to try
Tastings of these and other fermented productsLeave with a jar of Sauerkraut or kimchi, a kombucha scoby, a recipe book and the knowledge to make much more at home.
Most equipment and materials are provided, but please bring 1x 750 and 1x 250ml clean glass jars for your products.
We strongly recommend wearing masks for all our indoor workshops. Our weekly farmer's market will be in full swing during your workshop, so it's worth arriving a little early to check out the stalls and maybe buy some fresh produce.
Perth City Farm is a community urban farm that supports connected, sustainable communities. Established on a former industrial site in East Perth, this polluted site has been lovingly rehabilitated by volunteers to become a Western Australian icon for environmental sustainability and community engagement. We provide space and opportunities to build community connections, and educate and enable people to live sustainably.

The City of Melville offers a subsidy to its residents, reducing the out of pocket expense for a full worm cafe set-up to $100.00, payable direct to The Worm Shed on the night.
