A truly special experience where patrons can interact with stunning birds including a Barn Owl, Masked Owl, Sooty Owl and Bookbook Owl.
The painting part of the workshop accommodates everybody from beginner to professional painters, so don't be scared.

You can set up your own worm farm and get enough fat worms to start by receiving a subsidy for other options of your choice.

Black Cockatoo - Coloured Pencil Workshop: Drawing from live black cockatoo
Harvest Lakes Community Centre62 Aurora DveAtwell,Firstly, we will meet Rex. A black cockatoo visiting us from Kaarakin Black Cockatoo Conservation Centre. Coloured-pencil artist, Stacey Maroney will demonstrate how to sketch the bird from life and record the features of the animal quickly as it moves.
Bird photographer, Emmar Geary will then demonstrate how she captures her stunning photographs.
Once we have all found a photo we are happy to work with, Stacey will demonstrate coloured pencil techniques used to create realistic feathers and details of the cockatoo.
Materials are all provided, but feel free to bring your own pencils and photographs if you prefer.
Tea, coffee and snacks provided, please bring lunch if you think you may need it!
