Black Cockatoo Crisis Fund Raising Event–
Black Cockatoo Crisis Fund Raising Event
The Backlot Perth21 Simpson StWest Perth,The three species of black cockatoo in Western Australia's south west are in trouble. If we do nothing we could lose all three species of these birds within two decades. However, if we act now we can save these iconic birds and ensure their long term survial.
A new feature length social impact documentary film, Black Cockatoo Crisis is currently in production in WA. It is being put together by the makers of Cry of the Forests, a social impact film that helped change the political landscape and bring an end to all native forest logging in WA.
In collaboration with our social impact partners, the Save the Black Cockatoo Coalition, Black Cockatoo Crisis will highlight the plight of our black cockatoos and set out a roadmap for saving these species. It will change the way decision makers and the general public view our black cockatoos and move them to act to protect these special birds.
We invite you to be part of this change making film. We need to raise $143,000 as soon as possible to put this film on the big screen, into schools and on the desks of our MPs. Together we can make a real difference and ensure that these beautiful and intelligent birds have a future.
Join us on Sunday March 13 at 11.30am at The Backlot in Simpson St, West Perth for coffee and light refreshments and to learn more about this change making film and how you can be a part of making it happen.
