Australian Assoc of Environmental Educators Biennial Conference
Mandurah Performing Arts Centre9 Ormsby TerraceMandurah ,Western Australian environmental and sustainability educators, community engagement officers and interested community members are invited to join the WA Chapter of the Australian Association of Environmental Educators (AAEE) this September as they host their 21st Biennial Conference.
Inspired by resilience theory, future’s thinking and Mandurah’s relaxed waterside lifestyle, the overarching conference theme is “Mandjoogoordap: Changing Tides”. Mandjoogoordap means “meeting place of the heart” in Noongar, and changing tides can represent the need for change, the inevitability of change as with natural tidal cycles, or the positive changes resulting from Education for Sustainability efforts.
Sharing the latest in theory, policy and practice, the conference aims to challenge old thinking and foster innovation, collaboration, resilience and genuinely effective action within the environmental education sector.
Hosted in Mandurah, or Mandjoogoordap – meeting place of the heart, the conference includes keynote speakers from Ocean Decade Australia, the Jane Goodall Institute of Australia, Millennium Kids, Common Cause Australia, Gondwana Link and more.
The full program is now available on the website, and Early Bird discounts are available until July 31. Register now and be confident in this changing era that we find ourselves in too, with a full Covid-related refund policy in place, and virtual elements available for streaming (details coming soon). - -
