Bushland Discovery Walk
September 29, 2021 –
Get ready to put on your hat and sneakers these school holidays and bring your sense of adventure! Come and discover the secrets of a special patch of native bushland we call "Birdie Bush". We will go exploring through the Banksia Woodland behind Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre to find brightly coloured flowers and learn about our amazing native plants.
The traditional Noongar season of Djilba is a wonderful time to be outside in nature. Volunteer guides from Friends of Inglewood Triangle will lead you through the site to observe the plants and animals and connect with the local community. Parents can enjoy a coffee, with snacks for children, art activities and games.
What to bring: Please dress appropriately for the weather and conditions, including enclosed shoes/sneakers. The event will go ahead unless there is extreme heat or thunderstorms. Bring a hat and a reusable water bottle in the interest of sustainability. Please bring evidence of your registration on Eventbrite.
Parking is available at Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre. Please then follow the directional event signage on foot to the event registration site, behind the Terry Tyzack Aquatic Centre.
